Five shortlisted groups of international consultants are preparing to bid by 21 February for the contract to prepare feasibility studies for the renewal of the Asyut barrage on the Nile. The studies are to be financed from German development cooperation funds channelled through Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau (KfW -- MEED 19:11:99)
Fifteen groups of international consultants applied to prequalify for the contract. The following five were shortlisted:
