Urologists at White River Medical Center in Batesville recently received a new tool for treatment of kidney stones, a laser system that can zap the internal irritants.
The Sharplan Holmium laser system uses electronic pulses to fragment kidney stones of any size or type. Dr. Rob Emery, a urologist at Batesville Surgery Specialty Clinic, was the first surgeon in Arkansas to use the new laser system, according to hospital officials.
