Thermal or Visible Light? THE DEBATE CONTINUES.

Choosing a plate technology can be a daunting, confusing task for printers looking to enter the world of CTP.

Over the last four-and-a-half years, since the launch by Eastman Kodak of its Thermal Printing Plate/830 (now distributed by Kodak Polychrome Graphics) at the Drupa '95 printing exposition, the U.s. graphic arts industry has seemingly adopted thermal technology as its digital printing plate of record.
