Severe weather conditions in the New York area of the USA caused delays at airports again on 26 January but all three metropolitan airports did remain open.

At LaGuardia Airport, which was closed for six hours on 25 January due to snowfalls, all shuttle flights to Washington were cancelled due to poor weather conditions there and delays were expected due to a backlog from passengers booked to fly the day before.
