This is the first article I have written on a father and son who concentrate most of their art on mineral illustration. Mineral dealer Heinz-Dieter Gotter kindly introduced me to the `artists. Martin and Uwe Haubenreisser, at the 1997 Munich Show and acted as their interpreter.
Martin Haubenreisser was educated in the graphic arts and has been inspired by the realistic and detailed art of German mineral artists Claus Caspari and Eberhard Equit. His chosen medium is watercolor, which he uses to capture the forms and colors of beautiful minerals and historic specimens ...
