If you're troubled by the dearth of white stuff this winter, head to the produce department and pick up a cauliflower. This sometimes-neglected vegetable is perfect for the season: It's plentiful, relatively inexpensive and somehow chic in its wintry white.
Cauliflower is a member of the cruciferous vegetable family, considered highly nutritious. But while some may object to the stronger-flavored crucifers, such as broccoli and cabbage, most people enjoy the milder, almost creamy taste of cauliflower.
