Amasa (Amazonas Industria Alimenticia), Nichirei's Brazilian subsidiary, is investing nearly R$3mil to purchase machinery and equipment to start exporting pink shrimp as of next March. The company, headquartered in Icoaraci, State of Para, also plans to launch other products, which will help it increase its R$10mil turnover by 25%. The country's last year's exports of the product totaled 2,400 tons, which generated US$25.626mil revenues.
