A protest from the U.S. ambassador to Greece had no effect on that country's fire-breathing foreign minister, Theodore Pangalos, who is continuing his angry rhetoric against Washington.

Ambassador Nicholas Burns last week was directed by the White House to lodge a formal protest with Mr. Pangalos for calling Mr. Clinton's pledge to help solve the Cyprus program "utter lies."
