Dec. 20--Despite earlier reports that Lockheed Martin Information Systems' facility in Pomona would shut down entirely, roughly 50 of the 290 employees there will continue working for a subsidiary after the aerospace giant streamlines its operations in early 2000.

Lockheed Martin external communications manager Michael Mulleavey said many of the 290 employees at the company's 164,000-square-foot facility will be relocated to Lockheed Martin offices in Sunnyvale, Palo Alto or Orlando, Fla.
