It is with profound sadness that I inform you that my dear friend and mentor, Tony Rodríguez, passed away on September 24, 1999.

Rodríguez, who this year celebrated forty years as a Latin music business promoter, was well known for his "Super Sundays" and his weekly Latin Wednesday Afterwork Parties at Manhattan's La Maganette.
