Swedish organization theory research is mainly carried out within the discipline of business studies (known in Swedish as Foretagsekonomi, but not always translated in the same way: in some places it is called business administration or business economics). Today, Business Studies is one of the largest disciplines in the system of higher education in Sweden and one finds it in business schools as well as in universities.
