A gap in the legal structure of the Mercosur trade block has led a federal Court at Entre Rios province (Argentina), acting under request of the poultry meat industry association CEPA (Camara de EmpresasProcesadoras Avicolas), to impose quotas to the imports of poultry meat originated from Brazil. The Court established a quota of 3, 742 m tons per month, that will be established until the Argentinean foreign trade agency completes a dumping investigation in Brazilian poultry meat.
