Hutchinson, Minn.-Based Disk-Drive Component Maker Cutting 160 More Jobs.

Nov. 11 -- Just three months after it eliminated 500 jobs, Hutchinson Technology said Wednesday it will cut another 160 positions to cope with declining demand for parts it makes for computers.
Hutchinson, the world's largest maker of suspension assemblies for disk drives, will cut 135 positions in Hutchinson, Minn., and eliminate another 25 positions at its Eau Claire, Wis., and Sioux Falls, S.D., plants. The 500 jobs that were cut earlier this year were all at the firm's Hutchinson plant.
