A tread formulation containing brominated isobutylene-co-para-methylstyrene blended with cis-polybutadiene and solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber affords improved lab dynamic properties compared to a BR/sSBR control. The increased values of G'' at -30[degree sign]C, G'' at 0[degree sign]C, tangent delta at -30[degree sign]C and tangent delta at 0[degree sign]C indicate the potential for improving tire wet/winter traction. The reduced tangent delta at 60[degree sign]C value is an indicator of lowering the rolling resistance.
