Oct. 26 -- A special task force next week will consider four options regarding the future of radioactive waste disposal in South Carolina.

The options, in a draft report released to The State, are intended to reduce out-of-state waste and ensure that South Carolina generators have a place for their waste.

The Legislature will make the ultimate decision. Its action will have nationwide implications.
