The economic division of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) performs several functions. These include establishment of goals and objectives to enhance economic and regulatory conditions of small business and entrepreneurs. It also identifies the impact of bills developed in Congress or in state legislatures. The economic staff also evaluates the NFIB data base and conducts special studies aimed at promoting the federation's goal.
