Fushun Petrochemical Corporation and Dalian Institute of Chemistry and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have jointly developed a new solid catalyst for alkylbenzene synthesis. Large domestic producers of straight-chain alkylbenzene synthetic detergent raw materials all use the alkylation process from UOP of the United States with hydrofluoric acid as catalyst.
