Even though I have a mental block about thinking of a good name to christen a boat, I thoroughly enjoy and envy people who have a knack for such things. In matters of lettering the transom of a boat, I suppose I'm as dull as most of the charter fishing captains on the Chesapeake Bay, whose capacity to come up with a suitable moniker for their dead-rise work boats ends with "Suzy Marie" or "Emmy Lou."
