Argentine President Carlos Menem said yesterday that President Clinton has promised to intervene with British Prime Minister Tony Blair over the Falkland Islands.
Mr. Menem also told a group of reporters and editors during a one-hour interview that international economic authorities are deeply concerned about new signs of economic instability in Brazil.
Mr. Menem, who wound up a two-day state visit to Washington last night, said Mr. Clinton appears clearly focused in spite of his upcoming impeachment trial.
