Augustus George Bullock II of Dedham, a former executive for State Mutual of America, died Friday at the Stanley R. Tippett Home in Needham. He was 88.

Born in Worcester, Mr. Bullock had lived in Grafton for 43 years.

He was a 1927 graduate of St. Mark's School in Southboro, where he was class treasurer. He graduated from Harvard College in 1931.

Mr. Bullock was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, holding the rank of major and serving 18 months in Europe.
