After five years of waging war on cigarettes, state health officials now want to stomp out stogies.

The Department of Public Health is launching a campaign seeking to convince young people that cigars are not as glamorous as they are portrayed to be in movies and music videos.

"We're trying to create a sense of parity with cigarettes," said Dr. Jack Evjy, chairman of the anti-tobacco Coalition for a Healthy Future.
