   Every night, the sun can roar 
   back to its starting place, 
   fly under the thick world, 
   cruise on autopilot over hell, 
   then take off hot again. 
 
   But once our own 
   small light's extinguished, 
   we skid, stall, fall into vertigo, 
   leave an ice trail 
   below the clouds. We spin 
   down, pinned to our seats, 
   crunch ...
