Study predicts decline of solvent-based PU adhesives
LONDON--A new study of the European adhesives market by IAL Consultants Ltd predicts total European use of all types of PU adhesives will reach 92 039 tonnes in 2001, up almost 12 percent on the 1996 total of 82 328 tonnes.
Only 3000 tonnes of this growth will be in solvent-based types, according to IAL. Most of the remaining 7000 tonnes growth is in solvent-free types. The use of PU dispersions remains static and water-based PU adhesives use will grow by 840 tonnes to 5061 tonnes, the UK market research ...
