The domestic aniline market was always a seller's market before the late 80's. An "aniline rush" appeared in China in the early 90's. Many aniline units were expanded and constructed and a great change took place in aniline production. Today China has 25 aniline units with a total capacity of around 200 000 t/a, holding the 6th place in the world. All the domestic units use the nitrobenzene hydrogenation process.
