Availability and pricing were not disclosed. Meanwhile, Harmonic's subsidiary, Harmonic Data Systems Ltd, has partnered with Irdeto Access. The companies are incorporating Irdeto's IP scrambling system in Harmonic's CyberStream high-speed Internet access system to allow CyberStream customers to implement secure IP data broadcasting services. Business applications that the partners hope can benefit from the technology integration include distance learning, corporate communications over wide area networks and other multicast services. In related news, Teleglobe Inc, a US-based provider of Internet access products, is deploying Harmonic's CyberStream system for its DVB/IP (Digital Video Broadcast/Internet Protocol) satellite services to ISPs and business customers.
