Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed has scored an important moral victory in the recently concluded elections in the state of Sabah, at which his National Front party won 31 of the 48 seats contested.
The National Front's support in Sabah was said to be solely derived from Dr Mahathir's former deputy and now opponent, Mr Anwar Ibrahim.
