Pres Bill Clinton signed into law HR 669 authorizing appropriations for the Peace Corps for fiscal years 2000 through 2003. He believed that the bill will entice citizens to offer their skills and serve the country as volunteers. He correlated the legislation as bipartisan support for the work of volunteers and their contributions to international understanding. In addition, he praised the Peace Corps volunteers for the hard work and dedication.
