Deal gives the US company full control of Indonesia's largest polystyrene producer.
Dow CHEMICAL COMPANY has purchased Salim Group's 50 percent stake in PT Pacific Indomas Plastic Indonesia (PIPI), formerly known as Dow Chemical Pacific Ltd. Dow will now have full control of PIPI, the largest producer of polystyrene in Indonesia with a capacity of 52,000 tons per year. PIPI is currently operating at 87 percent of installed capacity, according to local reports.
