Joseph Abboud's new Black Label collection for spring 2000 is targeted to higher-end stores and priced slightly above than the designer's diamond label. "I think there's a huge separation between fashion clothes and traditional clothes," Abboud says. He aims to give his traditional customer more of an edge, with a trim, sartorial silhouette with a higher button-stance, in signature sophisticated, luxury fabrics.
