GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Five hundred years ago Leonardo da Vinci was commissioned to create a 24-foot-tall bronze horse sculpture, to be the largest equine sculpture ever. Although the clay model was destroyed in a war before it could be completed, da Vinci's dream has been resurrected through the efforts of Leonardo da Vinci's Horse Incorporated, a non-profit organization out of New York and the Frederik Meijer Gardens, a botanical garden and sculpture park in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
