WALLINGFORD, CONN. - Jonathan Reeves likes to live life on the edge.
First he was at the edge of public ATM networks, and now he is at the edge of dense wave-division multiplexed networks running on optical fiber.
Reeves founded Sahara Networks in 1995 to build access concentrators that took voice, video and data traffic from customer sites and dropped the traffic onto public ATM networks. Cascade Communications bought out Reeves for $210 million 18 months after Sahara was born.
