Zany Brainy gets high marks for its fun-plus-learning strategy

Zany Brainy is the name and also the best description of what this specialty chain does: combine unlimited (zany) fun with a dazzling army of (brainy) learning opportunities.

Growing at a fast pace since its start-up in 1991, the Wynnewood, Penn.-based company had 75 stores in 19 states by the start of 1999 and plans to have a total of 100 stores by the end of the year.
