"I really like this project, the patterns remind me of a giraffe ... a very colorful giraffe!" The student and his classmates were proud of the colorful bulletin board display.
I developed this assignment to give the eighth grade students practice in mixing intermediate colors. They also needed to work on their watercolor skills, especially the wet-on-wet technique. I decided to build the assignment around the design of organic forms to use as the basis for their watercolor paintings.
