When Dom Bede Griffiths died at his Indian ashram in 1993, he left thousands of spiritual orphans. After his death and during his dying he appeared in the dreams of many. They said that his body miraculously refused to decompose. As his coffin was lowered into the ground the sky darkened and a strong wind blew. It was said that the trees bowed reverentially towards the grave and flowers filled it.
