The United States Government's budget for FY 2000 will have a surplus of $117.3 billion compared to the surplus for FY 1999 of $79.3 billion and a surplus of $69.2 billion for FY 1998. Proposed legislation, program changes and various economic assumptions are taken into account for these surpluses.
