Entomologists at the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, are studying how parasitic wasps are able to find and attack pests in huge stocks of stored grains. The researchers are trying to develop a pest management program that incorporates several species of parasitic wasps. By virtue of their self-targeting attribute, parasitic wasps can save the grain manager time, money and effort associated with having to treat an entire grain mass.
