Consul Baron Stenbock He was known for his familiarity with consular affairs and his fluency in Serbo-Croat, Russian and English. He was separated from his family when he was a little boy when they were traveling to Yalta. Found by a naval officer of the British Black Sea Squadron, Stenbock was brought to another naval officer who employed him as an assistant and personal servant. He later became a graded consular clerk after he got his British passport. He climbed the career ladder and became consul on Mar 14, 1945.
