Food production does not meet the needs of people in many developing countries. Prevention of unintended pregnancies can help slow the growth of population and the demand for food. Although the global economy produces enough food to feed the world population, the UN has identified 82 countries that face rapid population growth and are unable to import enough food.

In many developing countries rapid population growth makes it difficult for food production to keep up with demand. Helping couples prevent unintended pregnancies by providing family planning would slow the growth in demand ...
