The Monterey Bay Aquarium will launch an exhibit of deep sea animals and plants on March 20, 1999. The exhibit will highlight the unusual ways that deep sea organisms exist in the wild and the little known denizens, such as the large colonial animals called siphonophores and clams that live without benefit of sunlight.
