CRANBURY, N.J., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ariel Corp. (Nasdaq: ADSP) today reported net sales of $3,877,772 for the three months ended December 31, 1998, an increase of $780,261 from net sales of $3,097,511 for the three months ended December 31, 1997. Ariel reported a net loss of ($5,989,042) or basic and diluted loss per share of ($.61) for the three months ended December 31, 1998 compared to a net loss of ($2,635,407) or ($0.29) basic and diluted loss per share for the three months ended December 31, 1997.
