Thousands of years ago in Egypt, Syria, and Northern Europe, people learned to shape thin sheets of metal by pressing on it. This technique is called repousse.
In this lesson you will create a metal repousse sculpture of an animal. To begin, plan a suit of armor for your animal subject. Think of the natural armor of rhinoceros, armadillos, and beatles. Research and find a photo of your animal.
