The capture of Abdullah Ocalan, the leader of the Kurdish resistance in Turkey, lead to widespread protests around the world by Kurds. There are about 25 million Kurds in the world, making them the largest ethnic group without a country. The Kurds live in an area between Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria and are generally treated poorly.
