All aspects of a mutualism may not be optimal for the participating species. We examined possible consequences to limber pine (Pinus flexilis) from competition within reproductive multi-genet tree clusters, which come from multi-seed caches stored by Clark's Nutcracker (Nucifraga columbiana).
