AMMAN, Jordan _ ``His Majesty, King Abdullah,'' announced a somber senate leader, Zeid Al Rafai, tears welling in his eyes as Jordan's new monarch walked to the podium, and indeed the world stage.
For most Jordanians, Sunday's swearing-in ceremony marked the first time they heard anybody other than Hussein addressed as their king, and even the act of uttering the title seems to stick in the craw.
