The word "impressionism" conjures up a brightly colored, modestly sized picture of a light-filled landscape or cityscape painted with broken brash work. The Oxford dictionary defines impressionism as "a style or movement in art (music, etc.) concerned with expression of feeling, rather than accurate depiction or systematic structure.
