   Now to conclude in terms of a bankless river 
   and the orange flowers grown there, 
 
   in terms of a few colors lying in the sun 
   brushing sand off their calves. 
 
   Our life is describable 
   as Zeno's arrow let loose in Paris, 
 
   as shadows chased through a Paris 
   whose blue lamps flicker once, then glow. 
 
   Such a city holds to its postulate: 
   how the Seine flashes wave by wave, 
 
   how beneath the current 
   mud stirs around your hand.
