The inventor of numerical control (NC) John T. Parsons was honored at a Sep 10, 1998 dinner in Chicago, IL, celebrating the 50th anniversary of NC. Parsons related the story of how he developed NC with engineer Frank Stulen. Parson is also credited with building the first all composite plane for the Office of Navy Research as well as being the founder of the world's largest producer, designer and overhauler of helicopter rotor blades.
