LEIDEN, The Netherlands, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Pharming Group N.V. (Easdaq: PHAR) today announced the filing of initial documents in a US patent interference proceeding against PPL Therapeutics plc (Edinburgh, Scotland; LSE: PPH) and its co-assignee, Zymogenetics, Inc. (Seattle, Washington). The interference was declared by the US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) in August 1998 to decide between competing patent claims that broadly cover transgenic production of fibrinogen in the milk of mammals.
