Nothing ruins a great summer day faster than buzzing, biting, and stinging bugs. Insect repellents and insecticides can save the day, but many parents are worried about how these products may harm their children.

DEET (chemically known as N, N-Diethyl-3-Methylbenzamide) is the "gold standard" of insect repellents. It's effective against all biting insects. Over the years more than 20,000 different insecticides have been tried and none have been as effective as DEET.
