The All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory is a project designed to identify all plant and animal species in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Specialists from around the world will participate in the survey. The goal of the inventory is to make sure that species in park lands are managed effectively. The techniques used in gathering data may be used in other parks and preserves.
